Prior to becoming a literary agent, Theresa was an attorney at Cooley Godward, a Silicon Valley law firm. But it was her love of books and interest in combining business and art that propelled her toward a publishing career at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates. Opening the doors to PLM in 2005, she now represents principally plot-driven fiction and a short list of serious nonfiction. Dedicated to clients Nicholas Sparks, Debbie Macomber, Emily Giffin, Janice Y.K. Lee and others, she always finds time to enjoy a good meal, make a yearly visit to Vienna (her hometown) and connect with friends and family all over the world—she is fluent in German, can speak French and understand a smattering of Japanese. Theresa is a graduate of UC Santa Cruz and Harvard Law School, her varied education and background making her a uniquely broadminded business partner – but it’s her love of connecting ideas and people that makes her a great agent.
