Stefanie Sanchez Von Borstel is literary agent and co-founder of Full Circle Literary with more than 20 years of experience in the book publishing industry. Prior to agenting, she worked in editorial, publicity and trade marketing with Penguin and Harcourt Children’s Books. Books she has represented have been awarded the Charlotte Zolotow Award for Best Picture Book, New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book, Pura Belpré Awards and Honors, The Christopher Award, NCTE Orbis Pictus Honor for Best Nonfiction, and Agatha Award for Best Mystery Novel. Some exciting 2017 releases: Stack the Cats written and illustrated by Susie Ghahremani (Abrams) named a Kirkus Best Book of the Year and Amazon Best Book of the Year, The First Rule of Punk by debut middle grade writer Celia C. Pérez (Viking) named a Kirkus Best Book of the Year and School Library Journal Best Book of the Year, and Frida Kahlo and Her Animalitos by Monica Brown, illus by John Parra (NorthSouth) selected as one of The New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Books of the Year. Stefanie also represents new and award-winning illustrators including Susie Ghahremani, Lisa Congdon, Rafael López, John Parra, Alexander Vidal and Juana Martinez-Neal.  A proud Latina and Tejana born and raised in San Antonio, Stefanie is now based in San Diego, California.
